PatiBase aims to create a safe, respectful community space that prioritizes animal welfare for pet owners, people rehoming animals, volunteers, veterinary clinics, pet shops, and pet service providers.
These Community Guidelines apply to all content shared and all user behavior on the PatiBase mobile application, website, and digital services connected to PatiBase.
By using PatiBase, sharing content, creating listings, sending messages, or interacting with other users, you accept these Community Guidelines.
1. Core Principles
The following principles are fundamental in the PatiBase community:
- Animal welfare comes first.
- Users must treat each other with respect.
- Shared information must be accurate and in good faith.
- Adoption may not be used for commercial purposes.
- Lost and found listings may not be misused.
- Violence, abuse, harassment, fraud, and misleading content are not allowed.
- PatiBase may review content and take action where it deems necessary to maintain a safe community environment.
2. Respectful Communication
On PatiBase, respectful language must be used toward other users, businesses, volunteers, and community members.
The following behaviors are prohibited:
- Insults
- Profanity
- Threats
- Harassment
- Humiliation
- Persistent unwanted contact
- Personal attacks
- Provocative or targeting statements
- Content intended to demean users
Differences of opinion may occur; however, discussions must remain respectful, constructive, and within safe boundaries.
3. Content Contrary to Animal Welfare
Content that harms animals, encourages harm, or normalizes mistreatment is not allowed on PatiBase.
The following content is prohibited:
- Animal abuse
- Violence against animals
- Images of neglect, starvation, or poor care
- Animal fighting
- Guidance aimed at hunting or causing harm
- Behavior that endangers an animal
- Content involving deliberate intimidation, injury, or cruelty
- Content using animals for commercial breeding or exploitation
Content posing a risk to animal welfare may be removed by PatiBase, and action may be taken regarding the related account.
4. Prohibition of Animal Sales and Commercial Breeding
The PatiBase adoption area may not be used for commercial sales.
The following content and behaviors are prohibited:
- Animal sales
- Selling puppies/kittens
- Requesting fees based on breed
- Requesting deposits, reservation fees, or commissions
- Breeder, farm, or pet shop sales listings
- Generating commercial profit under the name of adoption
- Selling by directing users outside the app
- Imposing mandatory donations or payments under the name of food/expenses
PatiBase may remove listings and content it considers to involve sales or commercial breeding.
5. Adoption Content
Adoption listings must share honest, clear information that prioritizes animal welfare.
Where possible, the following information should be stated accurately in listings:
- The animal's species
- Breed or estimated breed
- Age or estimated age
- Gender
- Vaccination status
- Neutering status
- Health condition
- Behavioral characteristics
- City/district where the animal is located
- Reason for rehoming
Misleading, incomplete, or commercially motivated adoption listings may be removed.

6. Lost and Found Listings
Lost and found pet listings must be created based only on real, good-faith, and accurate information.
The following behaviors are prohibited:
- Creating fake lost listings
- Presenting someone else's animal as your own
- Sharing incorrect location or contact information
- Committing fraud through a lost listing
- Misleading users with reward information
- Requesting money to return a found animal
- Sharing someone else's phone number, address, or personal information without permission
Suspicious lost or found listings may be reviewed, removed, or restricted by PatiBase.
7. Accurate and Non-Misleading Information
Information shared on PatiBase must be accurate, current, and in good faith.
The following content is prohibited:
- Fake information
- Knowingly misleading others
- Manipulative listings or descriptions
- Profiles impersonating others
- Untrue health, vaccination, or neutering information
- Misleading business reviews or complaints
- Fabricated lost, found, or adoption stories
- Use of photos/videos that do not reflect reality
Misleading content may be removed and action may be taken regarding the related account.
8. Health Advice and Veterinary Claims
PatiBase does not provide veterinary services. Health-related content shared in the app does not replace a professional veterinary examination, diagnosis, or treatment.
The following content is prohibited:
- Acting as a veterinarian without being licensed
- Giving definitive diagnoses or treatment recommendations
- Directing others regarding prescription medication, dosage, or treatment
- Encouraging users to wait for in-app replies instead of seeing a veterinarian in an emergency
- Sharing harmful, unscientific recommendations or recommendations that could put animal health at risk
- Discouraging users from going to a veterinarian
You should always consult a licensed veterinarian about your pet's health condition.
9. Inappropriate Photo and Video Content
Photos and videos shared on PatiBase must be safe, appropriate, and related to the relevant content.
The following visual content is not allowed:
- Images of violence or abuse
- Open wounds, blood, trauma, or severely disturbing images
- Sexual content
- Hate symbols
- Private images belonging to others
- Images of people taken without permission
- Fake or misleading animal images
- Listing images containing prices, sales, deposits, or commercial redirection
- Spam or advertising images
PatiBase may detect and remove inappropriate images through automated systems or user reports.
10. Protection of Personal Data and Private Information
Users must be careful when sharing personal information belonging to themselves or others.
The following information may not be shared without the person's permission:
- Phone number
- Home address
- Email address
- Identity information
- License plate information
- Screenshots of private messages
- Photos or videos belonging to others
- Location information
- Health, family, or private life information
The user should carefully choose which information to make visible in lost listings, QR/NFC profiles, or the adoption process.
11. Messaging Rules
The messaging feature on PatiBase is provided for adoption, lost listings, business communication, and safe communication between users.
The following behaviors are prohibited:
- Harassment
- Threats
- Spam
- Persistent unwanted contact
- Sending inappropriate photos/videos
- Fraud
- Requesting money
- Directing users to sales outside the app
- Misusing personal data
- Putting users under pressure
Reported messages may be reviewed by PatiBase, and action may be taken regarding the account where deemed necessary.
12. Fraud, Spam, and Misuse
PatiBase does not allow fraud, spam, fake accounts, or abusive behavior.
The following behaviors are prohibited:
- Creating fake accounts
- Impersonating others
- Requesting money or deposits
- Creating fake aid campaigns
- Publishing fake lost/adoption listings
- Directing users to external payment or sales channels
- Using automated messages, bots, or spam
- Bulk data scraping
- Abusing users' trust
When such behavior is detected, the account may be suspended or permanently closed.
13. Business Profiles and Map Content
Information about veterinary clinics, pet shops, and other businesses must be accurate, in good faith, and up to date.
The following behaviors are prohibited:
- Adding incorrect business information
- Deliberately sharing false information about a competing business
- Posting fake reviews or ratings
- Taking unauthorized actions on behalf of a business
- Misusing map data
- Misleading users with deceptive campaign or price information
PatiBase reserves the right to verify, edit, remove, or change the visibility of business information.
14. Intellectual Property and Content Belonging to Others
You should only share content on PatiBase that you have the right to share.
The following content is prohibited:
- Sharing photos or videos belonging to others without permission
- Using content taken from other platforms without attribution or permission
- Using brands, logos, or images in a misleading way
- Copying someone else's listing
- Sharing content that could constitute copyright infringement
Infringement notices can be sent to info@patibase.app.
15. Behavior That Violates App Security
Behavior that would disrupt PatiBase's technical infrastructure, security, or user experience is prohibited.
The following actions are not allowed:
- Attempting to access the system without authorization
- Examining the app through reverse engineering
- Using bots, scrapers, or automation
- Sending spam
- Exploiting security vulnerabilities
- Collecting app data without permission
- Performing operations that would slow down or disrupt the service
- Attempting to access other users' accounts
When such behavior is detected, the account may be closed and, where necessary, the competent authorities may be notified.
16. Moderation and Content Removal
PatiBase may review, restrict, or remove content in order to maintain a safe and healthy community environment.
PatiBase may take the following actions:
- Removing content
- Reducing the visibility of content
- Taking a listing down
- Requesting a correction from the user
- Temporarily restricting the account
- Suspending the account
- Permanently closing the account
- Sharing information with competent authorities where necessary
PatiBase is not obliged to review every piece of content in advance. However, content may be evaluated in case of complaints, automated systems, security checks, or suspected misuse.
17. Reporting
Users can report content they believe violates the Community Guidelines through the in-app reporting tools or via info@patibase.app.
Examples of situations that can be reported:
- Animal sales
- Fake listings
- Fraud
- Harassment or threats
- Animal abuse
- Inappropriate photos/videos
- Incorrect business information
- Personal data violations
- Spam
- Fake accounts
PatiBase tries to evaluate incoming reports within a reasonable time. It is not guaranteed that action will be taken as a result of every report.
18. Repeated Violations
In case of repeated identical or similar violations, PatiBase may apply heavier sanctions.
As a result of repeated violations:
- Content sharing may be restricted.
- The right to create listings may be revoked.
- The messaging feature may be restricted.
- The account may be temporarily suspended.
- The account may be permanently closed.
In severe violations, PatiBase may take direct action without warning.
19. Emergencies
PatiBase does not provide emergency veterinary services, official intervention, or law enforcement services.
If your pet's health condition is an emergency, you should contact the nearest veterinary clinic.
In situations involving animal abuse, mistreatment, illegal sales, threats, fraud, or security risks, you may need to contact the relevant official institutions, local authorities, or competent bodies.
PatiBase tries to evaluate user reports but does not replace official institutions in emergencies.
20. Relationship with Other Texts
These Community Guidelines apply together with the PatiBase Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy / KVKK Information Notice, and the Adoption Rules.

For the specific rules of the adoption area, the PatiBase Adoption Rules should also be taken into account.
21. Changes to the Guidelines
PatiBase may update these Community Guidelines from time to time.
Updated guidelines are published on this page. Significant changes may be communicated to users in the app, on the website, or by email.
Continuing to use PatiBase after the guidelines are updated means that you accept the current Community Guidelines.
