Indian Pariah Dog

Origin and History

The Indian Pariah Dog is the ancient native dog of the Indian subcontinent, going back thousands of years; it is considered one of the oldest natural dog breeds in the world. Because it developed through natural selection without artificial breeding, it is extremely hardy and adaptable.

Appearance and Coat

It has a medium-sized, balanced and athletic body, erect ears and a curled tail. Its short, dense coat comes in brown, red, black or pied shades; it is well suited to hot climates and very easy to care for.
